A recent Morgan Stanley report has predicted that Indonesia will not only survive the crisis, but also enter a “Goldilocks” economy in 2021 if it can play its strategic place in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period and global order of the 21st century. Are they being too optimistic? 

Successful vaccination could reduce budget deficit to 3%: DPD speaker

A successful COVID-19 vaccination drive could help the government reach its target of reducing the budget deficit to under 3 percent in three years, a state official has said. “The government target could be reached by controlling and reducing coronavirus cases,” Regional Representatives Council (DPD) speaker La Nyalla Mattalitti said in a written statement on Wednesday.
